🎓 My final semester has just begun, and I’ve officially started working on my thesis project — something I’ve been both excited and a little anxious about.
After exploring different ideas, I decided to build a project that combines artificial intelligence and game development, two fields I’m truly passionate about. 🎮💻
My project is an AI-powered game where the player can control the gameplay using only hand movements.
To achieve this, I’m using OpenCV and MediaPipe, two powerful Python libraries that help detect and track hand gestures through the camera.
In other words, the game recognizes the player’s hand — detecting movements like opening or closing a fist — and translates them into in-game actions, without needing any physical controller.
So far, this project has been full of challenges and learning experiences — from understanding image processing algorithms to fine-tuning gesture detection models for accuracy.
But the most exciting part is seeing how AI can make human–computer interaction feel more natural and intuitive. 🤖✨
There’s still a lot to be done, but every small progress feels like an achievement.
For me, this project is not just an academic requirement — it’s the beginning of a journey where creativity, technology, and human interaction come together to create something meaningful.
